Wrap-Up for Module SIX
The "big ideas" for Module 6 are that disability etiquette and disability-related language are often easier to do if people think of them as common-sense issues and being courteous. While language about disability may appear to be DEIA, person-first, disability-first and other terms about disability may be required for publishing and professional writing, including applications for grants. The module recommended using person-first language if you're uncertain about which terminology to use.
